physical health: i am getting pretty buff becuase i have been lifting, not just diong cardio. i have to sneak into my the gym at my friend's complex becuase they have free weights. so scandalous! but more importantly, the real first order of business should have been this: no one told me that austin is like the highest rated city for allergies. i didn't have a problem finding out that it's the number one place for young singles. but, come on, if you're too sick to even go out and meet people...anyway, about 2 weeks ago i started getting sick. runny nose, sore throat, headache, watery eyes, the works. though i didn't miss work or anything, i rested up a lot and tried to take care of myself. but i just wasnt getting better. then miraculously a couple of days ago, i started feeling a little better. this good feeling coincided almost perfectly with a change in the weather. hmmm, innnnteresting. so i put it all together, using my amazing intuition and smarts, and decided that i don't have strep throat or the flu. nope, i just have allergies. not sure if that's a good thing, but i guess it's just life. so hopefully next week i will get in to see the MD and see how much i will have to pay for some drugs to minimize my symptoms.
this is potentially the most boring blog entry ever. i am going to stop talking about my physical health, even though there is a lot more where that came from...
mental health: relatively happy. learning a lot about myself through my job...it's good for me, but it's hard sometimes because i'm simply just not the easiest person to work with. friends are still great. we have a new favorite spot--mean eyed cat. it's the best chill b
But that's not all. we also stopped at Sonic on the way home. not only do you get to order from a machine, but the waitress delivers the order on rollerskates. the aussie gals in the pic thought this was THE coolest thing ever, aside from the tater tots.

spiritual health: rosh hashanah (the jewish new year) is coming up, so that means it service time at texas hillel. i will be staffing services everyday, though i won't be deeply engrossed in prayer. that's a-okay with me because at this point in my life, it's more about the culture and community than the religion. basically, rosh hashanah is exciting because i got to have a fun program in the dorms called "rosh hashanah in a bowl". we had apple cinnamon cheerios, honey smacks, honeycomb, honey nut chex, etc...becuase it's standard on rosh hashanah to eat apples and honey for a sweet new year.
okay, enough with this. i apologize if this post is on the boring side. i think all my creativity and excitement went into the flyers i made this week. oops. =)
the weather is a slightly cooler 93 today. gotta love texas!
